PONSHOP on YouTube

As a way to keep our blog postings new and fresh, I've incorporated a channel on YouTube to display videos featuring PONSHOP activities such as Art, Ceramics, Skateboarding, and if you're lucky some video of our son, Diego, bouncing around. The "Videos" section of our website will likely be updated with more (and different) content to compliment the site too. Basically, YouTube's videos will be more like news clips, while the PONSHOP Video Page will be our feature "films" so to speak.

Below are some of the videos that you can view on our YouTube Channel , enjoy!

This is a virtual flip-through of the latest sketchbook I've been working on. Initiated after we left NY in 2005, "Equilibrium: freshman chemistry problems and how to solve them" got hit up with all of my art artillery: acrylics, collage, spray paint, etc. I'll continue to work in this book until all 570 pages are filled.

Shot in April of 2006 and left unedited until March 2007, These clips are of Mark Eyestone of Fred Skates and me skating Brooks Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Party For Charity Event, March 30th

Gabe Pons and Rob Landeck followed up their Hyperion Art Show by pitching in for the "Party For Charity" event that took place on Friday, March 30th at the Third Floor Studio (810 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA). Gabe and Rob painted two large canvas murals while bands Boy/Girl, The Gay Blades, and The Transmitters kept people rocking. Organized by Eric Bruner Yang of Pash, this party brought out alot of the young and creative party goers for a good cause. The evening included a collective art show, live music, live painting, and a showing of the recently released Fred Skates/Magic Bullet video "City By The Battlefield." At the end of the night, the canvases were raffled off and much money was raised to benefit the Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter. More more info on the Party For Charity, click here.

"City By The Battlefield" Video Premiere

We're excited to announce that the Fred Skates/Magic Bullet DVD "City By The Battlefield" will make its premiere this month. PONSHOP pitched in by helping create some of the titles and name treatment for this new skateboard video. Below is a schedule of the DVD premieres as well as a brief press release from the Fred Skates/Magic Bullet website:

March 23, 2007: Norfolk, VA @ Relative Theory 271 Granby Street Suite 200, Norfolk, VA 23510 7:00 PM $5.00
March 24, 2007
: Fredericksburg, VA @ Central Rappahannock Regional Library 1201 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 7:00 PM FREE * Short films by Robbie Gregson and Zeph Mann
April 1, 2007:
Washington, DC @ Warehouse Next Door 1021 7th Street NW, Washington D.C. 20001 7:00 PM

As the second in an ongoing series of collaborative DVD's documenting the skateboarders of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Magic Bullet and Fredericksburg Skateboards are proud to present "City By The Battlefield." Filmed over the course of late 2005 and 2006, this installment tracks many of the dynamic characters that make up a small town's skateboarding presence and features a healthy dose of progressive ideas from everyday skaters.

Set to a soundtrack courtesy of Magic Bullet Records & friends (This Will Destroy You, The All-American Rejects, Sparrows Swarm And Sing, Paul Michel, Mosh Patrol, New Idea Society, Forensics, Nitro Tokyo, etc.), "City By The Battlefield" is concrete evidence that while other sports evolve slowly over time and past glory upholds, skateboarding is reinvented daily.
